No cookies, no tracking

Sheet Metal Tycoon is free and has no ads. Here's everything the website counts or keeps, in plain words.

What we count

So we can tell how many people play and where the game loses them, the website keeps a few daily tallies: how many times each page was opened, whether the game loaded and roughly how long it took, and how far games get (started a game and in which mode, shipped a first job, moved up to the factory, went broke, and so on).

Each one is just a number going up by one. It comes with whether you're on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and for a page view, the name of the site that linked here (like google.com). Nothing else: no cookie, no id, no IP address kept, nothing stored in your browser and nothing that tells one visit from another or says who you are. There's no advertising and nothing goes to anyone else.

Your game and your save

Your game is saved in your own browser. It stays on your computer and the website never sees it, unless you sign in to save online.

If you press Save online on the title screen and sign in, the website keeps your email address (only to send you a sign-in code), your latest save and the one before it for 30 days, your shop's name and your high scores. The code emails are sent by Resend. You can delete all of it any time from the game: Save online on the title screen, then Delete my online save.

Where it runs

The website and the game are served by Cloudflare, who see the usual web traffic to send you the pages, as for any website.
