Every machine in the game, from the second-hand treadle shear in the garage to robots that weld through the night. Each level sells the gear that fits it, so the tree below shows where each machine first turns up. Click one for its numbers.
A row for each trade and a column for each level.
Speed is how quick a machine gets through work against a plain hand-worked one at 1×. The bar shows it against the quickest machine in the game. A machine with a lease price can go on a lease instead: nothing up front, the same every week. From the factory on, the big ones can go on an equipment loan too.
Shears, guillotines, saws and lasers: every job starts here.

Every sheet is 2438 by 1219 mm. Prices move every month, and these are where they start. Not every machine takes every material: a treadle shear won't cut stainless and a MIG won't weld it.
| Material | Grade | To start | What it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galv | Z275 | $165 | Zinc-coated steel: the everyday sheet. Brackets, plates and boxes that won't rust. |
| Mild steel | hot rolled | $135 | Plain hot-rolled steel, pickled and oiled: cheaper than galv. It gets painted or powder coated after, so it's for work that's going to be. |
| Aluminium | 5005 H34 | $285 | Marine grade: light, never rusts, folds easy. Has to be TIG welded, and it's kept off the steel so it doesn't pick up rust. |
| Stainless | 304 2B | $395 | For kitchens, food shops and anything outdoors. Comes with a blue film on to keep it from scratching, TIG welded, hard on drills, and kept off the carbon steel so it doesn't rust. |
| Copper | C122 half hard | $640 | Architectural work: rainheads, planters and letterboxes that go green with age. Dear, soft and easy to fold, but it marks if you look at it. Joined on the TIG with silicon bronze, and kept off the steel. |
| Plate | HA250 | $420 | Hot rolled 6 mm plate, blue-black with mill scale, 138 kg a sheet: wear liners and chutes for the quarries and mines. Too thick for the shears, the guillotine and the punch press; a laser cuts it, and only the 320T press brake will fold it. |
| RHS | C350 50 x 50 x 2.5 | $470 | Square hollow section, 50 x 50 with a 2.5 mm wall, galvanised inside and out: posts, gate frames and racking. It comes in bundles of six 6.5 m lengths, and only a tube machine cuts it: a cold saw or a tube laser. |
| Round bar | 1045 bright 40 dia | $620 | Bright drawn 1045 round bar, 40 mm across: spacers, bosses, bushes and pins for the lathe. It comes in bundles of three 6 m lengths, 60 kg each, and it's sawn to length on the cold saw (a tube laser won't cut solid bar). |
| Corten | Corten A | $260 | Weathering steel for architects: it rusts to a deep orange-brown skin that stops it rusting any further, so it's never painted. Facade panels, screens and planters. The fibre laser cuts it clean; it's MIG or laser welded like mild steel. |
All of this comes straight from the game's own numbers, so this page changes when the game does. See the levels for where each one is.
